My Yoga

Every Practice is Unique

I started having a regular yoga practice in 2014 when I joined an Iyengar studio in Montana. I loved the focus on anatomy and alignment that Iyengar yoga provides. Since then, my practice has evolved to embody the functional approach to yoga, which emphasizes the way we want to feel in a pose rather than striving for an idealized look. I believe in creating an environment where all bodies and abilities can practice yoga.

My classes include elements of Yin, Iyengar, restorative, Anusara, and Hatha yoga. I have a 200-hour Hatha yoga teacher certification from Arhanta Yoga Ashram in the Netherlands and a 50-hour Yin teacher certification from Devi Daly Yoga. Having a regular yoga practice is especially important to my mental health. I find yoga helps me to self-regulate, stay grounded, and understand my body.

I live in the Montpelier area, where I offer gentle, beginner-friendly yoga classes. I am also a student in the Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Vermont State University.
